The Peoples Health Foundation (PHF) hereafter referred as the ‘foundation’ was formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria as a charity on the 26th February 2018. At the PHF, we aim to drive a healthcare agenda to promote social inclusion through health missions and community corporative healthcare provision at the highest level of care.

Actively promote E-health uptake in communities to engender access to best healthcare services globally by working with tested organizations in e-health solution across the leading e-health promoter countries, work with individuals, governments and organisations to actively promote penetration of best quality health services to Nigeria’s under-served and under reached in healthcare provisions, both in rural and urban communities and raise a robust health care data base useful for health care research, development and communication as a collaborative medium for running health care improvement projects.

PHF recognizes and acknowledges that timely provision of solution to healthcare challenges require collaboration across the multiple professions.
In pursuit of our strategic vision, PHF will engage healthcare professionals and advisors, both within Nigeria and beyond. These experts will be linked with our resident healthcare providers to deliver technical support, advisory services and practical field training.

The Board of trustees provides the overall executive direction for the foundation and directs the execution of the vision statement of the organisation.
The Board comprises:

Management Team:

  • Dr Philip Idaewor – CEO shall be in charge of the overall operations of the foundation. He is responsible for ensuring that the strategic direction of PHF as defined by the board is remains the focus at all times.
  • Dr C A L Amayo – Chief Medical Director shall provide leadership of the medical board and shall work with the CEO
  • Mr Tony Isama – Chief operating officer (COO) shall be responsible for the day to day management the foundation and administration. The COO works with the CEO to ensure adherence to the Board’s decisions.

Council of Governors:

Our Council of Governors, is made up of professional, corporate, third sector and community based individuals representing strategic interests to the benefit of the foundation. Appointment as a governor is based on merit and is not driven by any other consideration.
The Council of Governors is a valued and effective body advising the foundation on issues that are important to patients and the wider community. It works with the foundation to ensure it provides the best possible service to our patients and communities.
The Council of Governors is not responsible for the day-to-day running of the foundation. Their role is advisory but works with the board of directors to produce the foundation’s future plans; it ensures that the voice of patients, communities and partners are used to inform the foundation’s decisions.
